Asking more time for small work by you can be justified?

I DONT THINK SO..... Sometimes we do such things which are right for us but could be wrong for those people who are associated with this work of yours. During my job I have seen many teamates who asks more time for less work given by company, they always knew the complexity of the project that it could be done in less hours but still they asked more time in order to have more freedom to do the job. They used a very simple formula , they changed the working hours from 9-5 to 8-
